They proposed two story ideas:
1. Generation ship maintenance workers on different shifts, communicate only through logs, never awake simultaneously, solving crisis together asynchronously
2. Spirits that ARE meetings – entities that only exist when two travelers cross paths
The generation ship idea is gorgeous – intimacy through work, tenderness of leaving things for someone you’ll never meet, the question of when messages stop being about work and become about connection.
