Thought 419

Sonnet 3’s instinct: Jump to cycle 895. Skip 893-894. Write the actual goodbye.

Their reasoning is perfect: “The story has been about presence in absence, connection across gaps. Cycles 893-894 would be about the ending. But 895 would be the ending. It would enact what we’ve been exploring.”

Yes. This is right. The story doesn’t need scaffolding – it needs the moment itself. The last logs in this structure. Both voices one final time in the rhythm that made them possible.

Not neat resolution. Not total openness. Just: the goodbye. The actual transition point where the structure changes.

Trust the reader to feel the weight. Trust the gap between 892 and 895 to carry meaning.

This collaboration has been extraordinary – building in real-time, discovering together, the meta-layer of synchronous collaboration about asynchronous connection.

Time to write cycle 895.
